Pat Welsh has dealt with the struggle of an easily dislocated shoulder and after years of skating through it he finally decided it was time to get surgery and fix the problem. With a scalpel and 6 months of downtime on the horizon, Pat wanted to film a full part around his hometown of Santa Gnarbara so we headed in to the hills that shaped Pat’s skating. Making our way from burnt out chunder ribbons to the smoothest of butter, we went to the highest peaks and into Pat’s not so deep thoughts in order to get know the rider in front of the lens.
